My husband has not had a peaceful night’s sleep in years. He would wake up so tired, and the feeling rarely left him throughout the day. We just attributed it to his diabetes since he would have to get up at least once in the middle of the night to check his sugar levels. When a diabetes educator told us that it was not normal to have poor sleep because of diabetes, she suggested that he see a San Jose chiropractor. Neither one of us had ever been to a chiropractor before, so we were not sure what to expect.
She was able to recommend one to us, which I was very thankful for because I would have had no idea which one to pick. The one she referred him to is one who also treats a lot of diabetic patients for various issues dealing with pain, neuropathy, and even frozen shoulder, which is a condition that my husband had years ago. When we got to the doctor’s office, we were made to feel very comfortable, which was a nice way to start the relationship between the chiropractor and both of us. Yes, even though the original appointment was for my husband, we are both semi regular patients now.
He did an examination on my husband, and he also had some imaging tests done just to rule out anything he could not see. They came back fine though, and he felt that just some manipulations and massage would get my husband sleeping better than ever. It took seven appointments before my husband woke up one morning feeling like a million bucks. The chiropractor had told us that there was years of misalignment damage done, so it would not be fixed overnight. Patience won out though, and my husband has a much better quality of life now!
