Back Pain is No Match for My Fishing Trip

Back Pain is No Match for My Fishing Trip

I love to fish. My buddies and I would often take an entire week off and go to a fishing cabin that we would rent. When we were younger, it would have been about partying a lot and fishing a little. In recent years, it is about fishing a lot, then video chatting with our wives and children. How time changes a man’s perspective! Anyway, fishing has become painful for me because of the hills that I have to climb up and down. A buddy suggested I visit a chiropractor in Santa Barbara to see if there was something that could be done.

He suggested a chiropractor because the pain was in my lower back area. I have always used a walking stick to help get myself up and down the hills since some of them are pretty steep and most of them can be quite muddy after a good hard rain. Even with the walking stick, it was just too painful on my back to want to go on another fishing excursion without getting some relief first. When I explained all of this to the receptionist, she scheduled me an appointment for the same week.

The doctor was very kind and patient, and I have to say he is pretty strong too. I am a big guy, and this doctor was able to handle the adjustments on my back without any trouble at all. I knew as soon as he did the first one that I was going to really like this guy a lot. I felt so much better, and I made several more appointments because he suggested that I follow through with more adjustments to feel even better. That is what happened too, and now I am looking forward to going fishing in a few weeks with my friends.
