I have been out of work for nearly a whole month now. I spent a couple of weeks at Kaiser, then I had to go back a couple of times for more work on my legs and my knees. They really caught the worst of it, but I also have to see some Santa Rosa chiropractors about my back. They say that the vertebra in my back got crushed in on one another and they have to slowly get them back to where they should be. That is a bit scary to be honest, although at first I did not realize that I should be scared. Then this guy started to tell me what he was going to do and I really wondered if he was going to be as good at this stuff as he seemed to think he was. It was really obvious to me that if he messed it up, then I would be in a lot of pain and maybe I would get something even worse than that.
At any rate I am still a good distance from being about to do what I want to do when I want to do it. I have been able to get to work from home, and I go in the office a day each week for the past two weeks. Of course we do not have an elevator, so I can not go up to the third floor very easily. They took my stuff down the stairs and I was working out right in front of the receptionist, which really felt weird to be honest. I still have a lot of physical therapy and that sort of thing. Right now it is hard for me to get around with crutches and that is going to take some work to get past.
